LONDON (Reuters) - Winger Ryan Giggs could overtake Bobby Charlton and set a record for Manchester United appearances after signing a two-year extension to his contract.
United announced on Monday that Welshman Giggs, who has been at United since he was 13, and American goalkeeper Tim Howard had agreed to extend their contracts for two years.
“This will keep Ryan and Tim at the club until June 2008 and June 2009 respectively,” the club said in a statement.
