Scholes back in training

Paul Scholes has trained for the first time since United confirmed he’d miss the rest of the season with an eye problem.
The United midfielder also made the trip to Cardiff for last weekend’s Carling Cup triumph and sat among the backroom staff during the match.
Nevertheless, Sir Alex Ferguson insists the 31-year-old will not be back in first team action until the beginning of next season.
“He came into training the other day and did a little bit which was good to see,” revealed the United boss. “He’s coming on and there’s been some good improvement (with his condition).
“The prospects are a bit more positive for him but we’re not rushing him and I still don’t expect him to be back until the beginning of next season.”
